Kathleen Duey's stark, over-the-edge YA fantasy is finding an adult audience, too. Her in-progress trilogy from Simon and Schuster, A Resurrection of Magic, has been honored as a National Book Award finalist, Cybil's finalist, a Kirkus "best of YA" pick in 2007 & 2009, Locus Featured YA 2007, and a Locus New and Notable book for 2009. The trilogy is being sold worldwide and the first two books have been translated into Polish, French, Spanish and German. The third Resurrection of Magic book is in progress, and several exciting projects are on deck.

In 2008 Kathleen was delighted to be a featured author for Bev Cook's Dragon Con YA track and a panelist for the Dragon Con writer track. Kathleen speaks nationwide and internationally at cons, writer's conferences, schools, and book industry events.
