Cliff, a butcher, is employed by a local seafood market that specializes in the sale of mermaid flesh. For a long time he has felt conflicted over the ethics of his job and of the way that he perceives these fantastical creatures to be. After his interaction with a chilly customer heightens this internal struggle, he must make a choice when the mermaid of his fantasies becomes a nightmarish reality.
