Bob Pendarvis

Bob Pendarvis taught the very first comics and animation illustration classes at the Savannah College of Art and Design, going on to create the school's Sequential Art BFA and MFA programs (the first in the country). Many of Bob's students went on to become artists for companies like Marvel, Dc, Tokyopop, Vertigo, EA Games, Hasbro, Squaresoft, Capcom, Cartoon Network, Dreamworks, and Disney. While at SCAD, Bob co-wrote and edited Nbm's The Bristol Board Jungle, a graphic novel about teaching comics classes

After leaving SCAD, Bob edited and published Sugar Ninjas, a four-volume set of eight graphic novels featuring comics and art created exclusively by girls. The Howl Gallery in Fort Myers, Florida hosted two exhibitions of artwork created by dozens of Sugar Ninjas contributors. Another gallery exhibition, showcasing work from Bob and a baker's dozen of his former students-turned-pros was recently hosted at the Glynn Visual Arts Center on St. Simons Island, GA.

Bob also teaches online classes at his own and his Storydrawing textbook is available on Amazon. Hia most ambitious project yet is a series of graphic novels about a young girl teaching art classes in the spooky woods near a witch. Bob premiered two illustration prints from the second book at last year's Dragon Con and now a number of galleries are featuring his work. This year he's looking forward to finally unveiling the completed book, along with many brand new prints.
