Chance Chancellor has been leather artisan and instructor for 10 years. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay area has given Chance the roots for a very eclectic artistic vision that is evident in his work and approach to teaching the leather arts today. In 2003, a serious illness introduced Chancellor to leather working as his medium of choice. Combining all he had learned from his career in graphic design he has focused on carving leather with a more contemporary aesthetic. His efforts were first recognized by placing first in class at 2006 International Federation of Leather Guilds. Since that time, he's taught well over 1,900 hours of leather classes ranging in scope from introduction to leather to professional workshops. Chancellor's areas of expertise encompass everything from the design and construction of leather fashion accessories through professional consultation and custom costuming.
