Naomi Novik

Naomi Novik is the acclaimed and bestselling author of the Temeraire series, begun with His Majesty's Dragon. She has been nominated for the Hugo and has won the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer, as well as the Locus Award for Best New Writer and the Compton Crook Award for Best First Novel. She is also the author of the graphic novel Will Supervillains Be on the Final?

Her latest novel, Uprooted, is a new fantasy influenced by the Polish fairy tales of her childhood.

Her own adventures include acquiring degrees in English literature and computer science from Brown and Columbia, designing computer games, and building the Archive of Our Own, which currently hosts more than a million fanworks read by more than a million visitors a day. Novik is a co-founder of the Organization for Transformative Works.

She lives in New York City with her husband, Hard Case Crime founder Charles Ardai, and their daughter Evidence, and eight friendly computers.
