Wasted Wine

Wasted Wine hails from Greenville, SC and has spent almost a decade dodging conventional classification. The resulting sound borrows from indie folk, gypsy rock, hip hop, Baroque pop, cabaret, and beyond. Such musical diversity is achieved by combining traditional rock staples like guitar, bass, and drums with classical and multicultural instrumentation such as violin, harmonium, bouzouki, and celesta. The band has toured the South East extensively, with memorable performances at Fall for Greenville, the HeyLook! Festival, Vulcanalia, and Dragon Con. Their song "Strangest of Eyes" was featured on NPR's 'All Songs Considered,' where Bob Boilen likened their sound to "a bastard child of David Lynch and Nick Cave."
