Tom Waltz is a former active duty U.S. Marine, Desert Storm vet, and former California National Guard Military Policeman. He is an editor and senior staff writer for IDW Publishing, and has been the writer for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series since its start in 2011. Together with Turtles’ co-creator Kevin Eastman, they oversee the multiple series that tie in with the main series. Waltz has also written Dead Rising: Road to Fortune, Duke Nukem: Glorious Bastard, and a few Silent Hill limited series, as well as creator-owned graphic novels Children of the Grave, After the Fire, Finding Peace, and The Last Fall. While much of his experience may reside within the comic book realm, Waltz has also written for video games some of which include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Brothers Unite from Paramount, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan from Activision. Some of the other games he’s worked on feature some familiar faces to the IDW Publishing company such as Silent Hill: Downpour from Konami, and Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime from Atari.
