CAPT Mark McDonagh

Captain Mark McDonagh, USN/Ret. is a 30-year veteran of the US Navy. A qualified submarine officer with 12 years of experience between the Naval War College and Navy Warfare Development Command, Captain McDonagh is a co-founder of the National Security Decision Making Game, Inc., a non-profit educational organization established to apply professional-grade, modeled games and simulations, structured after games run at the national War Colleges, as an entertaining medium to inform participants of contemporary, historical, and futuristic geopolitical, military, and economic issues. Captain McDonagh holds a BS and MS in physics, and lectures on geopolitical, military, and science / technology topics, with specialties in doomsday scenarios, the early Cold War, developmental weapons systems, and the history of submarine warfare. A co-founder of National Security Decision Making Game, he has, for 27 years, led a diverse, international team of experts in a variety of fields including technology, diplomacy, and military operations, able to take global game play in any direction that the players can imagine and want to explore.
