Dragon Con Memberships

Dragon Con membership covers all four days, panels, events, demonstrations, concerts, performances, contests, snacks and munchies in our Consuite (as available) and a host of other activities. Some exceptions do apply.

Membership rates are as follows:

  • $160 through 08/29/2017
  • $140 in onsite registration at the show

Dragon Con will be offering last minute registration just before the convention once again this year. Memberships will be available August 19 - August 29 until 2p. Membership badges are not mailed and must be picked up in the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel in the Capital Ballroom in the pre-paid processing line (the blue line). Please print out a copy of your order and bring it along with a government issued photo ID. Membership badges can be picked up starting Thursday August 31, 2017 at 10AM. Presales

Beginning on Saturday, July 15, 2017, and ending on Friday, August 18, 2017, a limited number of Saturday ONLY and Sunday ONLY memberships will be available through the Dragon Con Store for $50.00 and $45.00 respectively. No group discounts or transfers allowed.  NOTE: Saturday ONLY memberships can only be picked up on Saturday, September 2, 2017, in the Capital Ballroom of the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel and Sunday ONLY memberships can only be picked up on Sunday, September 3, 2017, in the same ballroom.  Follow the signage directing you to pre-paid memberships or follow the blue tape.

Badges are not mailed out pre-show, however memberships ordered prior to the August 18, 2017 price change will receive a confirmation postcard in the mail.

Dragon Con will be using barcodes once again to speed up the registration process for 2017. Those of you who have purchased your memberships in advance will receive (or have received already) a postcard with a barcode on the mailing label. Please bring that postcard (with the mailing label intact and legible) AND a valid government-issued photo ID with you to the registration area at the convention. That will greatly speed up your (and everyone else's) registration experience at Dragon Con 2017.

Forgetting to bring the postcard or the valid government-issued ID will slow down your registration process.

All prepaid memberships, i.e. you have paid for your membership before the convention, will be available in the Capitol Ballroom at the Sheraton.

For 2017 we will use both the Capitol Ballroom and the Georgia Ballroom at the Sheraton to process anyone who wishes a single day ONLY membership on Saturday or Sunday.  If you are using cash or credit and wish to purchase a one day ONLY membership for Saturday or Sunday, follow the blue or green tape.  You can only purchase a single day membership on that specific day at the convention. We recommend the blue line, it will likely be faster.

For Friday and Monday single day only memberships, please follow the green tape to the Georgia Ballroom.

Those wishing to purchase a membership onsite, i.e. you have not paid, for 4 days, 3 days (Saturday, Sunday and Monday only) or 2 days (Sunday and Monday only) will use the Georgia Ballroom as they have in the past.

Please note:

  • Dragon Con memberships are non-refundable and non transferable.
  • Dragon Con memberships cannot be transferred forward to the following year.

On-site Registration

For those of you who are paying on-site, you can shorten your time in line as well. Click here and fill out the form, submit it, and it will generate a .pdf file with a QR code that you print and bring to the on site registration area at the convention. This form is not connected to any database, it is merely a utility for printing your own QR code.  The QR code will contain all your demographic information, mildly encrypted and base64 encoded. As always you will need to have a valid government-issued photo ID with you as well to complete the on-site registration process.

After you've arrived on-site and gone through the registration cashier line, there will be a special line at data entry for those of you who have this pdf print out to speed up your progress through the process.

Day memberships are ONLY available at the door on the day that you wish to attend.

Children's Memberships

Children under seven years old are allowed into the convention for free. 

Due to a decrease of usage, childcare is no longer offered at Dragon Con.

Eternal Member

Eternal Memberships are Memberships are $2500. They can now be purchased through the Dragon Con Store.

Group Rate Discounts

Group rates are $5 off the current membership price. The group rate discount is only available for full four day memberships. A group is 10 or more people sending in their memberships (by mail or fax) to the office at one time in one envelope or one fax. Include the names and addresses of all new members; confirmation postcards will be sent separately to each member.

Please note the group rate is not applicable to the first round of Prepaid Registration memberships until the new price change on September 18th 2017.
